(Module I) Drawing and Painting:
Students will further their ability and understanding of 2-D & 3D art.

– The first quarter: is dedicated to the principles of design by completing a variety of drawing projects.

Students will develop a strong sense of design through decision-making and problem-solving projects that may include media such as, graphite, oil pastel, colored pencil, chalk pastel, and charcoal.

– The second quarter: is devoted to developing painting skills and techniques using acrylic paints.

Students will explore the style of many artists throughout history, while developing their own paintings.

The subjects considered and studied are, landscapes, still-life, the figure and abstraction.

This class is for intermediate art students who are in illustration or art programs.

Students start sketching arms, legs, faces or whole bodies. They learn how to sketch quickly and accurately and how to draw people who have dimension and appropriate proportions.

The course begins with drawing body parts, including arms and legs, from images in a book.

(Module I) Drawing and Painting Course Levels:

Once students have the understanding of how to draw the body .

A-Level 1  Still life drawing with pencil.
B-Level 2 Still life drawing with pen, Coal pens & Pastel colors .
C-Level 3 Starting in the portrait & Human figure drawing with pencil.
D-Level 4 Professional Portrait & Human figure.

(Module II) Oil Painting:

Oil painting course is designed to introduce the student to a wide variety of oil painting techniques; from the traditional to the contemporary and applying them to genres from landscape to portraiture.

The structure of each session will include a short lecture about the technique being studied, followed by a demonstration by the tutor and / or whole class workshops.

(Module III) Perspective, Sections & Sketches:
Sketch classes are usually available through programs in fine arts, fashion design, interior design or illustration.

Sketch classes prepare students to create quick drawings using tools like pencils and pens.

The basic premise behind all beginning-level sketch classes is to provide students with the training necessary to view an object and reconstruct it on paper using basic sketching tools. Students learn how to draw with pencils, pens, charcoals and pastels.

They sketch forms and add shading and dimension. Basic sketch classes train students to draw from still shapes or photographs.

Beginning sketch classes are taught in a studio or workshop environment, where students can practice sketching while receiving an instructor’s guidance.
