The German Conversation Program consists of three levels. During these courses, learners participate in listening and speaking tasks which are intended to improve their communication skills.
The courses focus on improving the learners’ listening and speaking skills.
They listen to a variety of texts including conversations, speeches, announcements, debates and negotiations in various contexts, listening for details and for main ideas.
They also practice dialogues, role plays and give presentations related to a variety of topics.
There is more focus on stress and intonation to enhance their pronunciation skills.
The topics discussed in class are varied and range from the simple to the complex.
Real-time activities are provided throughout each level of the conversation courses. The classroom environment provides real time contexts for students to practice and interact in German throughout each level.
The aim of this course is to enable students to communicate effectively in German, in a wide range of authentic situations and to a range of audiences, in both spoken and written form.
They will also be able to understand a wide range of written texts and spoken material and respond accordingly.
It is hoped that their experience and efficiency in using the target language will provide them with the confidence and enjoyment to further their language studies or use in work or leisure throughout their future life.
ASIIN is the German accreditation agency specialized in accrediting degree programs from the fields of engineering, informatics/computer science, the natural sciences and mathematics. ASIIN was founded when a large number of business and industry associations, relevant disciplinary societies and professional associations, as well as Germany’s universities joined forces to establish a specialist accreditation agency. The quality of degree programmers, according to ASIIN e. V., derives from a functioning qualification process, the interaction of its elements and the level of achievement of objectives – i.e. the attainment of the intended learning outcomes for students.
